The Salt Solution

Salt, is it good, is it bad, should I stay away from it, I mean it has been linked to so many problems recently, yet for thousands of years they’ve been eating it with no issues, this is not a history lesson, but to bring up my point, salt used to be so valuable that the word sal means salt in Latin, root for the word salvation, and salary. Romans paid soldiers with salt, and in ancient China, it was used for paying taxes. Something tells me that if people were getting sick from this then they wouldn’t have put it in the word salvation. What changed?? Should we stay away from salt ??? Well in 1995 there was a heat stroke in Chicago, and 750 seniors died, and that 2 week period, all of who were on a salt-restricted diet, why so???

Because salt helps you retain water in your body, so you can drink as much water as you want, but without salt, you won't be able to retain the water, and you'll become dehydrated. To make things worse, when there's not enough salt in the body, the burden of retaining the water gets transferred to the kidneys which can cause kidney problems over time.

When someone is admitted to the hospital, the first thing they give them is a saline solution IV. Salt is needed for proper stomach acid. Sodium chloride is the same raw ingredient as hydrochloric acid which is Stomach acid, clearly salt is necessary. Now once I mentioned stomach acid, ….. it’s very important to have proper stomach acid. On a PH Scale, stomach acid should be abt 1. At that level, your stomach Works perfectly.
Pepsin works to digest proteins, your body can absorb minerals and b12. Now if the PH of your stomach is 2, you can forget about absorbing b12. Also Iron you can’t absorb. If your doctor tells you your low on iron, it won’t help to take an iron supplement, because it’s not getting absorbed.

Now if your stomach has a ph of 4 then when you eat food, your stomach can’t digest it properly, and the food starts to ferment. Your stomach also isn’t sterile anymore, and yeast begins to grow. Now whenever you eat sugar or carbohydrates, you will be feeding the yeast inside you.

If you've ever made sauerkraut (super simple), you'll know when something ferments- it off-gasses, and that's what's wrongly called acid reflux. It's not that the acid is hurting you, the problem is you having too little stomach acid, and the food is fermenting inside you. People don't realize this, so they will take things to lessen their stomach acid (Tumbs).

if you have reflux, please eat things that will raise your level of stomach acid to more acidic not lower it. Such as.... apple cider, use a straw to not harm your teeth enamel.

There are 3 kinds of salt sold. #1

Table Salt is heated to 1200, aluminum is added as an anti-caking agent, some brands ad dextrose, (why is their sugar in salt ??), and iodine. This salt is not the salt that was used in history, it consists of only 2 minerals - Sodium and chloride. Should you be concerned about the aluminum? Aluminum may be linked to neuro-degenerative diseases as well as other illnesses.( It’s enough of an issue, that people are using aluminum pans) I would avoid it when possible.

Maybe one should eat table salt to get their intake of iodine. We need iodine no??
first of all most of the salt you consume is from processed food, and that doesn’t have iodine added. Secondly, to get your daily requirement of iodine from salt, it would cause a terrible imbalance in your body.

Always choose a natural whole food form of vitamins or minerals over synthetic. (People with autoimmune diseases, their symptoms get worse when they consume table salt).

Other salts sold

The other 2 salts are ….. Himalayan salt is sourced from a mountain, and Sea salt is sourced from evaporated water. These both contain over 82 minerals. This is important because if we look at a cell, the outside is made of calcium and sodium. , and the inside is made of potassium and magnesium.

When consuming unprocessed salt, your feeding the whole-cell- outside and inside. The body knows exactly how to deal with it, causing no imbalance in the body. In fact, from my experience, I’ve seen that it doesn’t raise blood pressure at all.

Because Table salt lacks the other minerals, no wonder so many illnesses are linked to it. Salt is not at fault, we are. Imagine not following a recipe and blaming the cookbook?? that's what we do with salt. we blame it after we process all the minerals out of it.

When purchasing salt, Himalayan salt should have a pink tinge, and sea salt should have a gray tinge. (There is no such thing as organic salt). There should only be one ingredient- salt nothing else, or else it’s processed and has the same issues as other salts, they just call it Sea salt for marketing. Also, don’t let a Health food store overcharge you . You should find it for not more than $3.50 a pound.
