Here's the scoop, food that was grown the way it is supposed to be grown with our health and the environment in mind , that's called organic, no? No. Usually, things that are healthy are indeed organic, but it's not true that organic options are usually healthy. What how can this be? . A big problem we have with our food chain is the disconnect we don't know where our food is from.
When I wanted to buy berries from a big wholesaler. They couldn't even tell me which country it was from, I was startled. How can this be? Who knows how it was grown and what happened to it, how can anyone be okay with eating this?. In truth people aren't okay with it, mankind is just at a point that everyone is so sick they aren't thinking of how to improve and thrive subconsciously they are thinking of more survival mode. They have rent and other expenses they are figuring out how to pay, and then they have difficult relationships they a dealing with.... and all the other things that stress someone out, there is just too much on their mind to think about, weight? Where is my food from? And that's why there are trustworthy certifications that do this work. in the kosher world, there are amazing certifications that care and do amazing work, in the health world not so much. There are ways companies get around regulations and get a USDA organic or other certifications when their product still isn't healthy.
Then there are some amazing products like wild rice that isn't certified organic because it's a wild-harvested from the forest and people don't buy it because they're looking for an organic certification but it doesn't have. And that it's not supposed to. An avocado for example was tested for chemical residues from pesticides and they found very little to none. The pesticides seem to not go through the avocado shell so people that pay double for organic avocados are just misinformed, (it's still a beautiful thing to get avocados that during the growing process no chemicals were used as that's important for the environment, but as a health coach I'm focusing on your health right now, and what you need to know). With that said, we now understand why it's important to know where your food is from. To know the store owner, and those making your food. It's so important to know they care. When that's established, all of a sudden certifications become so much less important.
